New League 2006

First Night will be Jan. 13, 2006 at 6:45. (It will be an unlucky friday the 13th for many.) Play is planned to be every other Friday from that point on.

How many games? My vote is for 2 league games and if we play a third, make it a non-league game.

Money? I like keeping it at a ten dollar buy-in, with a dollar per game collected for the end of the year tournament and in games with 16 people or more take an additional $10 out of the pot for the end of the year tournament.

Blinds? With the current structure the games are lasting 2 - 2 1/4 hours. If we lengthen them I see little chance of a third game at all. We could try if people want.

Points? I am working on a point system. Please feel free to summit one. Points awarded to top nine places or half the people, whichever is less. I do not think a game should count if we have fewer than 10 people.

Here is the signup list for the last league night for 2005. As it stands Leo is in the lead for Player of the Year. We are starting 30 min. earlier, so be there by 6:45pm or call or you will not be in for the first game. Also check out the other blogs and make a comment on those as well.
