Poker Night 9.21.07

Hello,

This week when you post I would like you to also pick one of the following options for the End of Year Tournament. The End of Year Tournament will take place on Friday December 28, 2007.

Option 1 - We can do what we did last year and have a small buffet before the game on Friday December 28, 2007 starting at 5:30 pm with the End of Year Tournament to follow around 7:00pm.

Option 2 - We can have the End of Year Tournament on Friday December 28, 2007 starting around 7:00pm and then have an awards banquet at Greg's new restaurant on Sunday January 13, 2008 at 5:00 pm. The league would pick of the tab for dinner and gratuities (not alcohol). You could also bring a guest for $10.

If everyone could post which option they prefer and we will go with the majority.

Later,
Kurt

Jack is in for Friday 9.21.07 and picks option 2.

Tim and Alice are in for 9/21. Greg's place in January after the holidays sounds great.

John is IN for 9/21.

I have to go with "Option 1" only because January is a tough month schedule-wise so I don't know if I'll be around for Option 2 (which sounds pretty good).

See you on 9/21,
John

Kurt is in for 9.21.07 and my vote goes for Option 2.

I'm in for the 21st. I wasn't there last year so I can't comment on what Option 1 consisted of but I doubt veal marsala, shrimp scampi and chicken parm was in the buffet line. I could be wrong but I'll go all in with option 2.

Elaine is in for 9/21 along with George and Andy. I chose option 2 and so do they, since I blog for them! And Greg's restaurant is wonderful!

Marty is in for the 21st. I would have to pick the option 1. Like John, January gets iffy for me.

Paul is in and picks option 2. I'll bring enough money to cover my bar tab.

I am in for Friday, and I've talked Karl in to going as well (likely).

Option 2 sounds pretty good.

P.S. Is there any chance of having the tournament at Greg's restaurant?

I am in.

I vote for option 1. The reason I say that was cause having the buffet at the tournament made the end of the year tourney different than the other ones we play(special),which it is supposed to be. But I will support the decision made by the group

DAve S is in and likes option one, but whatever the group votes for will be ok

X is in for the 21st.

As for the question, while I like both options, my vote would be for option 1. I think it would just be easier for everyone if it's held on one night. Plus, like Bill said, that's what made the End of the Year Tourney feel special. I also say that Johnston, RI is quite a hike for Bill and I. Although I will eventually make that hike to try Greg's restaurant, I have heard good things. As always, I will go along with whatever the group decides.

I'm in for the 21st. Matt is out.
I am going to go with #2. I would be willing to chip in $5 or $10 for the end of year for a coldcut platter, beer, or whatever. If not, maybe if we chose to bring something we could put together a small spread.

I'll be at the final with my some 300 points and I like the idea of some food then, though I think you all should enjoy option #2. I won't be able to make it back up for that one. Have some Chicken Parm for me! -Christine
