CONGRATULATION NANCY!!!

I am sorry I missed it, but I am sure that I will see Nancy win many more now that she has gotten a taste of it. Well earned and well deserved.

Here is the signup blog for the next game which will be at Elaine's house on Friday Febuary 5, 2010 at 7:00pm.

The only complaint that I heard was that it could have used more light. People seemed to like the layout and the temperature.

17 people played and and that adds $85 for the end of year tournament bringing the total to $185.

Next Game Friday January 22, 2010

Ok, I am looking for any kind of feedback on how people think the 1st game of 2010 went.

We are still working on where the next game will be played, so check back to this site for further updates.

The following are some stats from the first night.

1. The rebuy period was 1 hour and 20 min. There were 5 rebuys - this is 25%. The first rebuy was at 30 min mark, then there were 3 more right around the 45 min mark and one at the end of the rebuy period.

2. The first person was knocked out at the 1 hour and 10 min mark, the 2nd person was knocked out at 1 hour and 50 min mark, third person 2 hour mark, 4th person 2 hour 5 min mark.

3. The final table was started at 10:00pm which was 3 hours into the game.

4. The game ended at about 11:10pm.

Greg and Kurt were looking at having the game end between 11 and 12 so we thought this was a successful night.

$100 was collected for the end of the year tournament. Greg and I will be taking some money out of this for propane unless people do not think we needed the heater.

2010 League to start Friday 1.08.10 @ 7:00pm

The first game of the 2010 league will be in Kurt's garage on Friday January 8, 2010. Start time is promptly at 7:00pm so come a little early to pay your dues and find your place at the table. Please post a comment to let us know if you are planning on coming.

Below are some guidelines that we will be following throughout the year.

Kurt and Greg’s Poker League 2010

When : every other Friday night starting Friday January 8, 2010 and ending Friday November 26, 2010. End of year tournament will be Friday December 10, 2010.

Time : start time is at 7:00pm. – if you have not paid by 7:00 pm you will have to wait to pay until the end of the current blind level. You will not be allowed to play until you have paid. If you are running late and get your money in beforehand you may play as soon as you arrive.

Format : It may be a work in progress, but we will start with the format suggested by Matt posted in this blog.

Buy in : $20 for initial buy in to be paid out each night

$5 for end of year tournament and banquet

$10 for rebuy to be paid out each night

Where : either in Kurt’s garage or Greg’s garage.

Post : you need to post if you are coming by noon on the Thurday before the game. This allows Kurt and Greg time to set up the correct amount of chips and get the computer setup ahead of time. If you do not post by this time you will not be included in the game.

Chairs : Please bring your own chair each and every time and take you chair home with you. Kurt and Greg will not be supplying chairs and will not be keeping other peoples chairs.

Ranting and Raving : Excessive ranting and raving will not be tolerated and you will be asked not to come back if it becomes an issue.

Parking : Please use Kurt and Greg's driveway for parking as much as possible and do not worry about blocking in other people playing poker. I would rather block in players than neighbors.

I know this sounds like a lot of rules and regulations, but we are just looking to have a good time. Any questions or concerns or rules are up to Kurt and Greg . If you do not like how something is being handled you may ask either one of them but their word is final. If you still do not like how it is then feel free to start a league of your own.
